Atlantium's Hydro-Optic Disinfection (HOD) systems deliver superior ultraviolet (UV) light water disinfection, and are suitable for the food and beverage, water bottling, dairy, aquaculture, aquaria, and other water-intensive industries as well as municipal drinking water.
Our HOD systems achieve over 5 log bacteria micro-organism reduction, and are particularly effective against Cryptosporidium and Giardia, where conventional
water treatment methods simply do not work.
Our patented design uses the principle of "total internal reflection", to trap the UV photons inside a quartz chamber, thereby obtaining a longer effective light path and creating a uniform dose distribution of the UV light in the system's cross-section. The absence of low dose tracks ensures that no microbe escapes inactivation.
Atlantium's HOD systems are cost effective and environmentally friendly, and introduce no chemicals or disinfection by-products (DBPs). They are also easy to maintain and have negligible downtime, requiring only four minutes to change a lamp.
In addition, a dual sensor configuration provides direct reading of the water's UV transmittance and lamp intensity for each lamp in real-time, guaranteeing dose that accurately matches your requirements.
